Limited Registration: All Highborn Pups bought under Limited Registration are forbidden to be shown or bred. This contract is a Limited Registration Contract & therefore the pup named herein MUST be spayed/neutered. Please make your appointment with your vet by your pups 5 month birthday so they may have surgery by or before they turn 6 months of age. Your pup's spay/neuter date must be on or before _____________. Spay/neuter documentation must be sent to me (Julie Pollock) verifying when the procedure will take place or when it was completed. The Documentation must include Vet's name, address & phone number for verification.
Non~Breeding Clause: In signing this spay/neuter clause, you understand that the pet named herein is for pet only and can not under any circumstance, whether accidentally or purposely be bred. IF the pup named herein is bred, whether purposely or accidentally, you agree to pay a $5,000 fine & an additional $1,000 per pup born in this circumstance.

ORAL FLEA MEDICATION CLAUSE

Your vet will most likely recommend an oral flea medication for your dog. These drugs are convenient for you and profitable for your vet...but not the safest route to take for flea prevention. When you study the adverse reactions of Oral Flea Medications, they can look very much like a genetic or congenital issue that this contract guards against.

Therefore........

**It is very important to take note that this contract will be null and void if the puppy named herein is given any type of oral flea medication. An oral flea medication is any medication given by mouth that kills, repels or sterilizes fleas on your dog. This includes medication that kills Heartworms but also kills fleas. Therefore it will be your responsibility to make sure that the medications you are giving to your pup are not in violation to this contract. The adverse reactions to any oral flea medications are: vomiting, depression/lethargy, decreased appetite (anorexia), stumbling or incoordination (ataxia), diarrhea, itching, excessive salivation, shaking, trembling & seizures. As you can read, many of these reactions could resemble a genetic or neurological issue with your pup. For this reason, feeding any such medications will nullify this contract.

Buyers Responsibilites:

Please have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian at your earliest convenience. This may require you to make your vet appointment before picking up your puppy.
The Buyer agrees that above all else, this puppy is a family pet, an indoor pet. He/she will live indoors and will never be permitted to roam freely.
The Buyer agrees to maintain current vaccinations: Distemper, Parvo, Adenovirus & Rabies. Also must maintain heartworm preventative for the life of this pet. This does not include Bordetella or any of the Non~Core vaccines. The Buyer may opt to use Titer testing.
The Havanese coat requires committed daily grooming for long coat care or a clip every other month to maintain optimal health. Once your Havanese reaches 6 months of age, he/she needs to be groomed no less than 6 times a year (if he/she is being professionally groomed). The Buyer agrees to maintain proper grooming & not allow excessive matting.
Non~Breeding Clause: As previously addressed, the buyer agrees to spay/neuter this puppy and must do so before the puppy reaches six (6) months of age. A male pup may be neutered as young as 4 1/2 months (if you wish to hinder leg hiking & if your vet is willing) & as old as 6 months. If this deadline is not met or the buyer refuses to spay/neuter the pup named herein, the breeder shall retain rights of ownership & the dog named herein, must be returned to me, Julie Pollock, owner of Highborn for the price paid or for the price of rehoming, whichever is lower. The Buyer understands that they must contact Highborn Havanese if their life circumstances change and they can no longer keep their Highborn pup. They agree not to sell or give this dog away under any circumstances without notifying Highborn Havanese first and giving Highborn first rights of refusal. X___________ (initial)

Seller's Guarantee:

Our puppy comes to the buyer only after being examined and deemed healthy by our veterinarian. This puppy is up~to~date on vaccines (he will still need a round of boosters) and has been dewormed & microchipped. All puppies receive a starter bag containing new puppy owner book, a Highborn folder w/ health record, puppy training info & AKC paperwork. You will also receive Life's Abundance puppy treats, toys and blanket with sibling scent. Highborn Havanese guarantees your puppy to be free from life~threatening, hereditary or congenital defects for two years from date of adoption. If any such condition is found and proven by a reputable, licensed veterinarian through lab tests and/or x~rays & then confirmed by Highborn's veterinarian, the puppy may be returned to Highborn Havanese and the buyer will receive their choice of a replacement puppy or purchase price paid for the dog.**The full purchase price is the amount paid by the buyer to the seller at time of adoption & does not include medical costs or any transportation expenses paid by the buyer. Both are the responsibilities of the buyer as a pet owner. X_______ (initial) **Conditions not covered by this guarantee: Cherry Eye: "Cherry Eye is not considered a genetic problem, as no proof of inheritance has ever been determined. There have been times when Cherry Eye has been known to develop suddenly when a dog has become overexcited, shocked, stressed or scared."
The puppy must be returned within seven (7) days of the veterinarian's diagnosis.**Under No Circumstances may the buyer keep the puppy AND receive a purchase refund**

This Guarantee will be considered null/void for any of the following: 1) If the pup named herein has been given any oral flea medications or 2) If this pup has been bred no matter if accidentally or purposely AND 3) If this pup shows signs of abuse/neglect, has not been kept up to date on his/her vaccinations, wormings, or has not been given heartworm preventative medication as stated under Buyer Responsibility #3.
